'A warm welcome from me as President of this inspiring charity, a position I am deeply honoured to hold. I never cease to be humbled by the good humour and determination of the ex-Servicemen and Servicewomen who are our members. It is they who hold BEWSA together and who make it work. Their team spirit is an inspiration, whether on or off the sports field, in or out of the swimming pool, or whatever the venue.But we always need extra help and so would welcome any support – however big, however small - which you can give, in order to keep our organisation thriving as well as to help provide the sporting and recreational opportunities on which our members thrive. And, above all, we are pleased to invite you to join us – whether able bodied or injured. It would be great to have you as a fellow member of BEWSA. We look forward to seeing you.'
